What it does today

1

Research projects

Each paper starts from a research question that steers every chat and compile.

2

AI research agents

A research writer, a citation curator and a medical expert, each with a defined role.

3

Chapter canvas

Drag-and-drop snippets into chapters. Each snippet keeps its original text and where it came from.

4

Writing assistant

Suggested passages sit beside the manuscript and are only inserted when the writer approves them.

5

Compile & edit

Compile chapters into a manuscript, then edit it. The agent's original compile is kept for reference.

6

Versioned publishing

Publish fixed, numbered versions under one stable short link, ready to print or export to Word.

Security, privacy & tenancy

Database-centred by design

Every test, price, patient, order, result, role and region rule lives as a structured database record. No hard-coded catalogues, every change traceable.

Multi-tenant companies

Each practice, clinic or laboratory is its own tenant. Records are stamped with the tenant and checked server-side on every read and write.

Group hierarchy

Link sites under a parent organisation (hospital group or network) with roll-up visibility across its sites.

Layered user permissions

Owner, admin, manager and viewer roles, plus custom roles with per-module permissions, SSO (Microsoft / Google) and bulk user provisioning.

Privacy by design (GDPR)

Built to support UK/EU GDPR: patient-controlled access grants, recorded and withdrawable consent, private file storage and account deletion.

Audit and provenance

Access changes, clinical actions and AI extractions are logged with who, what and when, so every decision can be explained.

Hosted on Base44 infrastructure, which holds SOC 2 attestation at platform level. Clinarivo itself is not independently SOC 2 certified, and GDPR support describes design controls; each practice remains the data controller responsible for its own compliance.

Each organisation remains responsible for its own regulatory compliance.
